Girl Hero Inspiration

Everyday Brave

Being brave isn’t about not being scared – it’s about being scared to do something but doing it anyway.

Doing it anyway because it’s the right thing to do. Like standing up to a bully, not giving in to fear or to peer pressure.

Being brave isn’t always about some amazing act of courage, of rescue, in the face of great danger. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is just show up.

Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying ‘I will try again tomorrow.’.

How can you be brave?

Show up for the maths test you are nervous about.

Show up for school even though someone is being mean to you (but do tell someone)

Tell the truth even if you are afraid you will get in to trouble.

Stand up for someone who is being bullied.

Be kind to someone that someone else has been mean to.Show up for school play you are shy about.

Show up for the class presentation.

Talk about what you think is important even if other people don’t.

Show up and show yourself that you are stronger than you think!

Being brave is sometimes to just be there, to keep showing up – and not give up.

Become the girl hero you are inside!

What is something brave you have done?

How did you feel afterwards?

Who is the bravest person you know? Why?

What do you think?
